Mr. Alan Lawrance
Alan had the distinction of being a former pupil between 1955 and 1962. He then returned as a teacher for thirty three years between 1968 and 2001. He took over the production of plays upon Hedley Goodall's retirement. He found it quite fascinating to teach alongside his former educators 'Tich' McCarthy, 'Spud' Murphy and the inimitable Elwyn Price, amongst others.

Mr. Patten (50's & 60's) - Porky
(As his nick-name suggests, a portly (true) gentleman who played the role of schoolmaster to perfection. He had a good sense of humour, often quoting a nonsense Latin quotation that had cordially passed from year to year by his pupils:
Porkypus sitipus on the deskalorum,
Deskipus collapsipus,
Porky on the floorum.

Also well remembered for his famed 'Pillarbox Stall' at the School fetes).

Mr. Pullin (50's, 60's & 70's) - ?
(Peter Pullin was an old boy at Berkeley Square, leaving in 1948. He then did two years National Service. Then he attended St.Mary's Teacher's Training College, Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. In 1952 he returned to St. Brendan's as a (prep) teacher. He left the school in 1978. Sadly he passed away in 1988. He will be remembered as a truly popular teacher. To celebrate his involvement with the development of Mini Rugby (at national level) St. Brendan's Old Boys R.F.C., Ltd hold an annual tournament The Peter Pullin Trophy).
